The logo of Bangalore metro was derived from this dotted Rangoli design and their first art space on MG rood is also called the Rangoli center.
The structure, the form, the spaces and the elements of our design tries to represent this fluidity, movement and culture. Material – low energy local materials sustainably in a contemporary vocabulary.
The basic materials proposed are “compressed earth blocks for connection to the place- our soil”
”Bamboo– for fluidity and movement”
“concrete – for the basic structure”.
Bamboo in design: Bamboo is introduced in the design to showcase its potential how a traditional fragile looking humble material can be used in large infrastructure projects. In the project bamboo is taken to new level by incorporating it in various forms with the crowning ephemeral floating roof over the metro station .
